Shaka Braddah Gear is an apparel company in the Pacific Northwest that specializes in custom graphic design screen printing and DTG (Direct to Garment) printing. Established this year in 2019, we have launched our company with our starting brand Nesian Nation. Nesian Nation was created to represent every Pacific Islander, Polynesian, Micronesian, and Melanesian, all under one brand.
Our Nesian culture is depicted through custom artwork and printed on stylish street wear. Our sister company is Oh Sew Islander, ran by the woman in my life, Penelope Tinitali. Self-taught, Penelope worked several days and nights mastering her craft. In 2018, she was requested to participate in the Polynesian Fashion Show at the Asia Pacific Cultural Center, where she showcased 10 wardrobes from her "Polynesian/Selena" line.
In 2019, she was again requested to participate in the Polynesian Fashion Show, where she demonstrated her new line, "Rebel Warrior."

Screen printing is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil.
Direct to garment printing is a process of printing on textiles using specialized ink jet technology.
DTG printers hold the garment in a fixed position and use specialty inks that are applied to the textile directly by the print head and are absorbed by the garment's fibers.
