Gail Holan is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. After several years running a family business in Spain, she began her graphic design career in San Francisco, California, where she created high profile signage and map directories for the San Francisco Cable Car Rehabilitation Project. Gail founded Curves Graphic Design in 1981, working with retail, corporate and engineering clients.
She designed direct marketing and sales collateral for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and physician guidelines and marketing materials for Kaiser Permanante, along with many other corporate clients. She also taught graphic design at San Francisco State University. After relocating to Tucson, Gail became an active member of the National Association of Women Business Owners Greater Tucson Chapter (NAWBO).
She served on the Board for three years and was awarded the 2004 Team Builder Award for her leadership in the Women in Balance Conference. Since 2010, Gail has been a consultant for the MainStreet Small Business Assistance Program, providing graphic design for businesses being impacted during regional construction projects in Tucson.
