Annabelle's Collection is a jewelry and luxury product line. Apart from logo and identity design, the company's needs include print advertising, package design, and retail display design. The Heaselands Estate is located just outside London in the UK, with grounds used for film and photography locations and numerous residential and commercial property rentals.
Inspiration for the logo design came from the large, perfectly symmetrical, sunken rose garden which anchors the formal gardens surrounding the main house. The green is taken from the paint color used on woodwork around the estate. The client placed importance on the logo being suitable for signage, packaging, print, and web. The inspiration for the logo initially came from a story the client recounted about the daily battles she was having with a bird stealing berries from her garden.
Research was undertaken to look at different bird breeds and to understand how elderberries grow. Further inspiration was taken from looking at the work of typographer Bruce Rogers and Fraktur folk art from Pennsylvania.
